Corvera Golf & Country Club is located in stunning countryside and ideally located just on the edge of Sierra Carrascoy National Park. The resort occupies over 2 million square meters of land, approximately double the size of its sister resort, Roda Golf & Beach Resort. Nestling against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra Carrascoy and sensitively integrated into the landscape. The resort has 24 hour security, on resort shopping facilities, restaurant on resort and there are more facilities due to open in the forth coming months such as a health centre, designated shopping area, restaurants, tennis and padel tennis courts, indoor pool and spa. The area lends itself naturally to horse riding and there is an equestrian centre offering clients structed tuition, organised treks across the Sierra, private livery or private hire of horses. There are organised walking treks and mountain biking on hand. The town of Corvera is 5 minutes by car, the new airport at Corvera 10 minutes by car, Murcia City is 20 minutes to the North, Cartagena is 20 minutes to the south, Fuente Alamo is 15minutes to the South West. Corvera Golf & Country Club is a development of 1800 villas, townhouses and apartments. Corvera villas, townhouses and apartments enjoy a wonderful location and their design allows for maximum light with big picture windows to incorporate the stunning views on offer. The properties are well spaced with a low density build on a large area giving the resort a wonderful country look and feel. Completions and the hand over of properties started in June 2009 and the Golf Course was opened to members of the public in December 2009.
The 18 hole, par 72 course is set in 70 hectares of land, has been designed by internationally renowned Spanish professional golfer Jose Maria Olazabal and as you would expect the construction specifications are to the highest standards. Olazabal's team have cleverly adapted the course to its beautiful and magnificant landscape so that the golf terrain that is pleasing to the eye and provides an interesting and challenging test of golf. The design incorporates strategically located lakes and a great deal of emphasis has also been placed on integrated tree planting and landscaping. The overall result is a course they are sure you will enjoy and kept in excellent condition. The greens are flat and true, fairways generous and well cut, the rough is deep and unforgiving, the bunkers are unusual and take some getting used to. This is a challenging technical course which will be enjoyed by players of all abilities.
