Playa Marques

playa_marques_2The beach of El Playazo is the largest and most well known beach in Almanzora, stretching as far as the eye can see with a vast surreal expanse of fine sandy beach, washed clean by the Mediterranean Sea. The beach stretches a total of  7km, from the mouth of the Rio Almanzora, and Boca del Rio Beach in Villaricos.


 

Views to the south are of the sparkling waters of the Golfo de Vera and as far as the Moorish hill top village of Mojacar.  To the north is almost deserted series of beaches all along the coast to Villaricos.  Playa Marques boasts the ultimate beach front for holidays and year round living.

Playa Marques is just 5 minutes by car from small towns of Villaricos and Garucha and close the market town of Vera.  The buzzing beach side town of Mojacar is just 10 minutes further along the coastline with its buzzing beach bars and cafes.  Playa Marques offer a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere on the edge of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.
