Playa Paraiso & Playa Honda

Playa Paraiso, Murcia

 Two spectacular and tranquil resorts lie within a stroll of each other at the base of La Manga. Both are busy, yet quiet, and boast fantastic, extensive beaches.

The relatively new development of Playa Paraiso (Paradise Beach) is situated on the shore of the Mar Menor just 2km from Cabo de Palos.  The development consists of around 500 houses and apartments all of which were constructed between 2003 and 2006.

Playa Paraiso has a number of houses and duplexes around community pools, although some properties do not have community pool, so check before you book.  Duplexes have two floors and are normally 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, or 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

There is another type of 3 bedroom villa which is laid out quite differently. The property downstairs is a two bedroom bungalow, with family bathroom and large open lounge diner with integral kitchen.  Up an external set of stairs is the third bedroom and a further shower room.  The property is ideal for a family coming away, perhaps, with the grandparents, as they can be separate at the top of the house, however it is not ideal for a family with young children.

 

From Playa Paraiso you can walk along the beach down to La Manga del Mar Menor, past Las Salinas, or the salt lakes. There are some nice restaurants and beach bars to break your journey for refreshment. 

 

Walk along the beach to the other way to Playa Honda.

Playa Honda has a supermarket, bread shop, ice cream shop, pharmacy, plus three of four further restaurants and bars.

Playa Honda is a typical Spanish sea side town with an excellent beach.  Accommodation typically consists of apartments in blocks.  Facilities in the development of Verde Mar III are excellent with a large outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, childrens pool, gymnasium, indoor pool and sauna.

There is a children play area and all the apartments have a dedicated underground parking place.  These apartments are only 20m from the beach and at the end of a quiet residential street.
