Terra Natura Wildlife Park, Murcia |
|
Located just outside Murcia City (around 30-40 minutes´drive from the coast), Terra Natura Murcia is a new-generation wildlife park where you can experience a new concept in habitat design, which let´s you come into contact with the animals as if there were no barriers between you – at least, no visible ones!
The 165,445 m² of the Murcia park is divided into two themed areas: the African Savannah and the Iberian Peninsula. Combine this with Aqua Natura Water Park, located in the same space and included in the price, and you have a great day out for the family. At Terra Natura Murcia you can see more than 300 animals from 50 different species, three of which are in serious danger of extinction, plus over 500 examples of more than 50 species of trees, shrubs and ground cover plants from these regions. The park is very well laid out with a path that runs around the whole reserve. The animals are well kept and enjoying natural habitat. It is amazing to see the animals so close up, especially the lions and the bears who come right up to the window. As well as the hugely varied collection of wildlife, the educational information (through placards with biological details and information points), the architectural theming and the range of shows, entertainment and adventure activities make Terra Natura Murciav ery popular for families looking to spend an interesting and entertaining day in a natural setting.
The Terra Natura is open 363 days a year, and Aqua Natura is open in summer - June, July and August. Prices are €16 per day for an adult and €12 for a child (aged between 4 and 12. Under 4s enter free.) . When the water park is not open prices drop to only €14 and €10! You can buy a season ticket for €90 for an adult or €69 for a child. Senior citizens pay same price as kids.
