San Javier is a municipality on the northern coast of the Costa Cálida in the region of Murcia. Very close by is Santiago de la Ribera, located on the beaches of the Mar Menor, which started out as an old fishing village but is now a busy little resort with a lot to offer. In addition to the bars and restaurants located on the promenade, there is a wider choice in the town centre of “La Ribera”, as it is more often referred to by the locals. San Javier is located around 15 minutes from the large shopping centres at La Zenia Boulevard or the north or 25 minutes to the south is Espacio Mediterráneo in Cartagena.
