The routes that run through the Region of Murcia are fully developed with wide open cycle paths and stunning scenery. Enjoy the breath-taking coastline as the route weaves from Cuevas de Almanzora in Almeria, along the Mediterranean taking in fishing villages such as La Isla before heading up over the hills to Cartagena. Following La Vuelta Route is tricky over the hills to Portman before a lovely flat run around the Mar Menor and then off up to the City of Murcia. From the City it’s a straight flat run of just 26km over to the Holy City of Orihuela.
