Roda Village is just a few minutes by car from the seaside town of Los Alcázares, right on the shore of the Mar Menor in the Costa Cálida. This area has almost 4 kilometres of lovely sandy beaches, with a promenade running its entire length, great for passing an afternoon meandering along and perhaps stopping for a drink and a tapa at one of the bars dotted along the way, or for an evening stroll after a lovely meal in one of the many bars and restaurants around. Roda Village itself has a few bars and restaurants, as well as a supermarket, and a few minutes´ walk away is the Roda Golf & Beach Resort which has a superb club house with fine dining, or is the perfect place for a drink on the terrace, and in Los Alcázares you will find a much wider choice of bars and restaurants. Visit the pedestrianized area, known by most as “The 525 Square”, full of additional bars and restaurants catering for tourists and providing an excellent choice of international cuisine. A little further along and you will find yourself in the town centre of Los Alcázares, which has a much more Spanish feel and where there are some fabulous bars and restaurants. In this part of town and right on the beach you will find La Encarnácion, a beautiful restaurant that was once a turn-of-the-century spa resort and still retains that feel. Here they provide entertainment on certain nights of the week, where you can watch a performance of traditional Flamenco dancing or listen to jazz music, or just sit with a drink and watch the world go by. Also in the town centre you will find all the other amenities that you might need including banks, solicitors, doctors, supermarkets, and schools.

By car, the beaches of Los Alcázares, Los Narejos, Santiago de La Ribera, Lo Pagán and Torre de la Horadada are between 5 and 20 minutes away. Another 5 minutes to the north and you will find the beaches of Mil Palmeras and Campoamor. At the beaches will you will also be able to partake in a wide variety of water sports and activities, with Los Narejos beach being extremely popular with windsurfers.

Roda Village is located around 20 minutes from the large shopping centres at La Zenia Boulevard or the north or 20 minutes to the south is Espacio Mediterráneo in Cartagena. Closer to home, around 10 minutes away, is Dos Mares in nearby San Javier. These shopping complexes have multiscreen cinemas, 10 pin bowling alleys and many restaurants open all year.

In this part of Murcia you will find the six Nicklaus designed Polaris World resorts, the PGA course at Roda Golf & Beach Resort, Hacienda del Álamo and the famous La Manga Club.
