Cabo de Palos
The beautiful traditional fishing village of Cabo de Palos is picture book pretty and full of life and yet our accommodation is available in quiet and peaceful residential streets. Cabo is on the Mediterranean side of the southern end of La Manga del Mar Menor. The habour and marina has many fishing boats and still a centre for the local fishermen. There are numerous fabulous fish restaurants on the harbour front and you sit by the harbour wall and watch the fishing boats, and divers come in and out of the harbour.
The lively Sunday market is one of the biggest in the region of Murcia and an excellent place to look for a bargain. Leather goods of excellent quality are side by side with T shirts, fruit and vegetables luscious and vibrant in colour, olives and nuts. Sop and take a break and a coffee in one of the cafes in the centre of Las Dunas in the centre of the market, before you carry on with your shopping.
Cabo has two national name supermarkets, many many restaurants and bars, cafes, various shops, lovely sandy beaches and a lighthouse.
