Tom Stevenson – Property Consultant, Murcia Villas Hacienda del Álamo

Tom Stevenson brings over 25 years of experience in Financial Services, Estate Agency, and Property Management in the UK to his role at Murcia Villas, where he is based at the Hacienda del Álamo Golf Resort office.

His career began in the early 1990s, when Tom worked as a Mortgage Adviser and later Area Mortgage Manager within the Halifax Estate Agency group. In 1996, he joined the Halifax Building Society (now Halifax Bank), where he developed into a Senior Financial Adviser, specialising in mortgages, investments, and protection. During this period, Tom was consistently recognised as being within the top 10% of Halifax advisers nationwide, also taking responsibility for training and mentoring other advisers.

Alongside his financial career, Tom gained valuable hands-on experience in property investment and management, building and managing his own portfolio of UK rental properties. He handled everything personally — from finding tenants and achieving the best rental returns, to coordinating property maintenance with trusted tradesmen.

Tom also served as a Director of an insurance brokerage, and later worked as an Independent Financial Adviser within a Nottingham-based estate agency, strengthening his expertise in combining financial planning with property services.

At Murcia Villas, Tom leverages his extensive background and professional network to support clients buying and selling property, ensuring their homes are marketed effectively and sold to the right buyers. His mix of financial knowledge, estate agency experience, and property management skills makes him a highly trusted advisor for both local and international clients.

Away from work, Tom enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that Murcia offers. With two grown-up daughters living in the UK, he now looks forward to spending more time cycling, hiking, and rediscovering his love of the countryside under the Spanish sun.
